Holi Tips for Kids!

March 20, 2018

From colours of joy to rings of laughter echoing in the air, the colourful festival of the year is just around the corner.

During Holi, while children can’t wait to have a splash of colours, parents are certainly dreading what’s coming their way – water balloons, pichkaris (water gun), friendly fights and colour powder smears. And for parents’ to get concerned about the after-effects of the game of colours.

So we the Team of Kangaroo Kids’ are here with some smart parenting moves are required to retain your child’s smile and to keep them away from any causalities as we care and love them-

Use of Organic Colours-

Synthetic colours are a big no-no. Non-toxic, organic, natural or herbal colours are the better options to opt for as they contain no chemicals and will be soft on children’s skin. Moreover they’re easy to wash off! They also accomplish your task of teaching kids about playing eco-friendly holi.

Avoid Water Balloons-

Its fun playing with water balloons but if thrown with force it can cause serious injuries to eyes, ears and skin of kids. Use of pichkaris (water gun) are better than the water balloons! But we need to teach kids to use them carefully without hurting anyone.

Get the Goggles-

Colours can get very harsh on the eye. Get your child to funky eyewear so that they don’t get bored of the regular blackish kind of goggles. Wearing goggles can steer clear of eye damage or infections.

Right Clothing-

Make your child wear full-sleeved shirts or T-Shirts and long pants so that they get less exposure of colours to the skin and preventing them from any allergies.
